Melora fights to a song only she can hear, and the tunnels have learned to keep time with her blade whether they want to or not. Land your hits and you'll feel her tempo climb. Land yours on her and you'll feel it break.
Tempo shifts +2 if her marked target's HP dropped since last round, -2 if HER OWN HP dropped, clamped -6..+8. No prior meter here can move in BOTH directions off the same comparison and switch the boss between two different modes.
A haste-like flourish of extra speed and a to-hit surge. The SECOND time this triggers in one fight, it culminates in her epic Dragon Knight instead.
Her epic spell rises behind her blade as a spectral wyrm-echo of the song's final measure.
A defensive dirge (AC and damage reduction) that also bleeds Tempo back toward zero, so the fight can't stall out permanently on one side.
The Outer Tunnels' real ceiling stood at CR16 (Renjiro Vask, round 10); Melora lands at the same CR16 band, taking the area's last remaining Sparky slot (enc09, 9/10 before this boss).
She is the bestiary's first Sublime Chord - a real dedicated bardic-spellcasting PRC, cloned from rwrogue (which already carries real dagger/two-weapon feats from round 10's own Renjiro build on the same donor; those unioned cleanly with her own new picks rather than being duplicated or lost).
Real Epic Spell: Dragon Knight (id 638/875) - The Outer Tunnels already had Mage Armor (Perrin Ashgrave) and Hellball (Renjiro Vask, round 10); Dragon Knight went here, its brief-transformation flavor fitting a swordswoman whose whole fight is about a climactic final measure.
