A monk who trained her body to do what her spellbook already knew how to argue — every hostile spell that reaches her, caught or not, teaches her hands a little more.
A real chance to catch the spell out of the air entirely - but whether it lands or not, the attempt itself permanently banks a Ki Surge stack.
Every round, scaled by banked Ki Surge
Escalating Flurry
At 5/10/15 stacks she unlocks progressively stronger unarmed flurries that stay available and keep firing every round from then on - a tiered, REUSABLE escalation rather than a single capstone, the first of its kind in this bestiary.
Once, at 25% hp or lower
Ruin
Her granted Epic Spell, damage scaled by the full Ki Surge she's caught all fight.
Why These Numbers
Malkari Tower's labelled ceiling is a Golem at CR31 - checked and confirmed legitimate (5 distinct ability scores, not the module's usual broken-stat-stick pattern), so Kesthrel is pitched above the real ceiling at CR33 rather than above Malkar Voss (CR19), the tower's much lower-CR named boss. Spell Catch is the bestiary's first negation-into-resource mechanic - every prior spell-hit hook (Kaine's Warded Strike, Thennura's Spell Mastery, Corven Ashmere's Spellbreaker's Riposte) banks or punishes on a hit; hers pays out on the attempt itself, win or lose.
