Rilsa Vane, the Stormglass Duelist

Miss Her Three Times, Regret It Once

Rilsa's cracked stormglass buckler was salvaged off a wreck older than the coast road. It doesn't block hits. It remembers every one that doesn't land - and it always collects.

The Fight

Each round, per attack against her that misses

Stormglass Charge

A charge banked (cap 3). No prior resource in this bestiary is fed by the boss's OWN successful dodges rather than anything she does or anyone else's misses as an attacker.

At 3 Stormglass charges

Chain Arc + Mummy Dust

A chain-lightning burst through everyone within 8m, immediately followed by her epic spell raising the Drowned Muster - spectral coast-wreck sailors, reflavored from literal mummies - and the charge count resets.

Why These Numbers

Goblin Coast's real ceiling was Thokk Bloodhorn at CR12 (round 9); Rilsa is pitched one notch above at CR13, into the coast's last remaining Sparky slot (enc16 - the area was sitting at 15/16 as of this session).

She is the bestiary's first Duskblade - a real dedicated arcane gish caster (classes.2da SpellCaster=1, its own spell-known/spell-gain tables), a deliberate return to a genuine caster after round 9's all-ability-based Minotaur batch. Cloned from the module's own humanmerc002, an existing Jasperre-AI human donor.

Real Epic Spell: Mummy Dust (id 637/874) - Goblin Coast only had Thokk's Hellball standing so far; Mummy Dust went here instead, reflavored as drowned sailors rather than literal mummies to fit the coast.
